Hello, I’m Amy – the manager here at the nursery. You can find out a little bit more about me – and the staff team here at nursery – in the ‘Nursery Staff’ section of our website, but in the
meantime I’d like to introduce you to our site.
Firstly, The Little People Day Nursery is located in Hucclecote, Gloucester and since 1999 has been providing quality child care and preschool learning for children from three months to five years of age. We’ve included as much useful information as we can about our nursery – and each of our rooms (our Baby Room, our Toddlers Room, our 2-3’s Room, and our Pre-school) – in the ‘Our Nursery’ section of the site, and have provided lots of useful Parent information including our opening hours, a link to our OFSTED Report and how to access ‘FREE’ childcare for your 3 or 4 year old (which is available to everyone at The Little People).
Our philosophy here at The Little People is based on a commitment to providing outstanding childcare and early learning opportunities for children, and we believe that excellent childcare and education depends on:
- Providing stimulating activities for children in an engaging and safe environment
- Employing enthusiastic professional staff to support each child’s learning and development
- Working in partnership with parents and families of the children in our care
- Providing a record book called ‘a Learning Journal’
- Training, valuing and rewarding our staff for the crucial role that they play in supporting children’s learning and development
- Providing healthy food and special diets
- Children and adults having fun!
We get to know you and your child really well so that your child feels cared for, secure and happy
and you feel confident and relaxed leaving him or her in our care. We know that children are
competent and active learners and we want your child to enjoy their early year’s experiences so that
they develop and learn at their own pace to reach their full potential.
Our nursery staff provide rich play-based experiences which support learning and development, and we use a ‘key person’ approach to enable children and parents to develop really close relationships with our staff.
We do everything we can to make life at The Little People a ‘home from home’ for your child, which is reflected in many of the reviews available on the site from existing parents here at the nursery, which I hope will help you to make an informed choice if you’re looking for childcare in the Gloucester area.
I hope you enjoy browsing our website and the pictures of children here at the nursery, and that you’ll give me a call or pop in to meet the team and have a look round. We’d all love to see you.
